Happy Easter and looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday, April 28th-last regular class (May 5th’s class is to attend the 9:30 Mass with your families). Remember, we will be having a registration event in the Father Murphy Room April 28th for 2019-2020 CCD year.
Help Needed forFirst Communion Celebration

Hello Families !
It’s that time of the year again when we are preparing to celebrate our parish children’s First Holy Communion. Our special day is Saturday, May 4th (1 PM Mass).
As is our tradition, we are preparing an after Mass celebration where the families may come over and enjoy refreshments while collecting their children’s certificates and remembrances (grades 3 and up will remember the patens and chalice papers).
Please consider baking or donating cookies, sliced cake or soft pretzel bites for our celebration.
Donations may be dropped off Friday, May 3rd and Saturday Morning, May 4th. All donations are to be brought to our 1st grade classroom (outside door access)-you will be contacted by our team to assure easy access.

Reminder about Emergency and Inclement Weather Closings:
In the case of inclement weather:

3) KYW has changed its procedure as of Jan 10, 2019:
All weather cancellations will be posted at: KYWNEWSRADIO.COM
Selected cancellations will be announced on the radio but they can no longer guarantee the 9:20 AM and 9:50 AM Community Announcements broadcasts.
All student absences must be called in. Arrangements for class make up work can be arranged through the office.
Students must have a written note when they return to class.

Levels: Kindegarten and Grade 1 to Grade 8

Instruction: Classes are held Sunday mornings September through May 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Registration takes place in February and April of each year as announced in the Parish Bulletin.
St. Rose of Lima Parish School of Religion is a Christ-centered, faith formation ministry dedicated to addressing the catechetical and individual learning needs of our parish community. Our curriculum is based on the Grade Level Guidelines set forth by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for both its Catholic School and Religious Education Programs.
Parent & Parishioner Involvement Opportunities Available
Sacraments: Our parish students receive First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the Second Grade.
Archdiocesan recommendations and parish requirement of two years of religious education in order to receive a sacrament.
